Booking requirements & Cancellation Policy

I am incredibly excited to help you on your musical journey! To help things run smoothly and keep our focuses entirely on the music, I have a few gentle guidelines regarding scheduling, payments, and attendance.

Booking & The 24-Hour Notice Window

When we book a lesson, that specific time slot is reserved entirely for you. Because it can be very difficult to fill a slot at short notice, I kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

• With 24+ Hours' Notice: We will happily find an alternative time to reschedule your lesson, or carry your fee forward to the next week.

• Within 24 Hours (or No-Shows): Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be chargeable at the full rate. Thank you so much for understanding that this protects my livelihood and standard schedule.

Lesson Blocks & Payment Terms

To secure your regular timeslot, lessons should be paid for in advance in blocks of four or more lessons via bank transfer.

All prepaid lessons within a block must be used within an 8-week expiry limit from the date of purchase. This ensures steady scheduling and helps maintain your learning momentum. The standard 24-hour notice rule applies to individual sessions within a block.

Illness & Genuine Emergencies

I completely understand that life happens, and sudden illness or family emergencies can pop up out of nowhere. If you are facing an unexpected emergency, please let me know as soon as you can. While late cancellations are technically chargeable, I always aim to be as fair and human as possible in truly exceptional circumstances.

If I Need to Cancel

Your time is just as valuable as mine. In the rare event that I have to cancel a lesson due to illness or an emergency, I will give you as much notice as possible. We will either reschedule the lesson at your convenience or I will issue a full credit/refund for that session.

Taking a Break or Ending Tuition

If you ever need to pause your lessons long-term or bring our time together to a close, I kindly ask for 4 weeks' notice. This gives me a chance to offer the slot to someone on my waiting list and keeps my weekly schedule steady.
